[texpoint-users] Problem with tex2bmp

TexPoint texpoint at necula.org
Thu Aug 24 06:24:33 PDT 2006

I am away from my computer right now, so I cannot diagnose the problem
properly, but it seems that the resolution argument is wrong (it is 0 and
should be something like 600, 1200, etc.) What bitmap format are you using?
Does this problem occur with all formats?

OOps, I have just noticed the "res=0" in your configuration file. I am not
sure how that got there, but change it to, say 600. Use TexPoint/Configure.

George.

Subject: [texpoint-users] Problem with tex2bmp

I am using MikTex/Powerpoint 2003. The shareware release of TexPoint worked
fine. I downloaded the newest release and bought a license. Now I see "Error
occurred while creating the equation: Tex2bmp: Error while running <dvips>
To return to Powerpoint press Cancel." whenever I try to embed a latex
equation or display box.

I would appreciate any tips,

Thanks,

Bennett
