[texpoint-users] TexPoint Preview not working, bad install?

Hi,

The problem you are experiencing is that pstoedit does not find
Ghostscript. This is somewhat surprising because pstoedit has a
sophisticated algorithm for finding Ghostscript. You may try to reinstall
ghostscript and then check the TexPoint/Configure/Information to see if
pstoedit is happy. Another thing that might help is to add to the PATH the
directory where gswin32c.exe is (Instead of setting manually the path to
gswin32c).

In any case, you should be able to use displays other than Outline format
(PNG e.g.)

Subject: [texpoint-users] TexPoint Preview not working, bad install?

What is wrong with my texpoint installation? I couldn't get it to work at
all until I manually told texpoint where to look for gsview. I still can't
get the preview to work (it won't even display simple plain text), and
manually pointing to latex in my miktex directory didn't help. I also see
numerous other errors, but am not sure how to proceed. Any ideas of where
to start? Thanks for any help!

-Mike

If all external commands are OK, TexPoint is fully functional. In case a
'FAILED' is shown, some features will not work. You may want to install the
indicated software and/or check the global (on Mac: the bash) path
configuration. Please also check the manual for details.
