[texpoint-users] texpoint with office 2010, resolution issues, workaround

I can't find the original post, but I think it has been mentioned before that in office 2010 the texpoint the bitmap resolution appears to be stuch at 72dpi. If you create a new equation (not outline) of either png or bmp, even if you choose 1200 dpi it will still show as 72dpi, which does not look good if you resize the equation.

For those who also have this strange problem (I used office 2010 64 bit, win 7 pro 64 bit, gs 64 bit) I found that if I open an old powerpoint presentation (office 2003, windows XP) that any new equations created in that document do work properly. So, until the fix, I can just open any existing presentation and "save as" to make a new one.

There is another issue of not being able to double click on equations to edit them. Powerpoint thinks the equations are just pictures. But, they can still be edited with the "edit" button in the texpoint ribbon menu.
