Hi,

 Just a quick follow-up regarding Office 2007 & VMware fusion: I also
tested Office 2003 with fusion successfully. (can you downgrade? ;-) )
The error you get indicates first, that the batch file (TexPoint.bat)
containing the call to the external applications is successfully created
[and probably later deleted (?)] but second, that somehow it cannot be
executed (we use the Windows command "CreateProcess" for that) due to
"denied access" - which should not happen under an administrative
account nor be related of Office...
Could you try to create a batch file in your user directory (e.g
containing the command: "latex -version") and call it from a windows
shell or execute from the explorer?
and/or call "cmd.exe" from the "Run..." command in the start menu? (Is
the computer part of a domain? domain policies might affect even local
administrator permissions.)

Regarding your license: could you verify that the installed version is
indeed 3.0.1 and the build date is not more than 6 month later than your
license date.
You can also set the "Debug level" to 3 and check the extended
information in the configuration dialog (reset the debug level to 0
afterwards) and let me know the "TexPoint version serial".

Andreas.
