Hi Karianne,

 it seems that the installation instructions need some improvement.
At least some of the problems seem to be due to the way you installed
TexPoint.
You should do the following:
1. save the dmg file anywhere - it does not need to be in Applications
-> TexPoint
2. open the dmg file (this will mount the disk image and creates the new
volume TexPoint)
3. copy *all* files from the (read-only) volume TexPoint to your
installation folder (Applications -> TexPoint)
4. copy the fonts in the font folder to your system font folder. (this
is done)
5. unmount the TexPoint volume (it is not needed anymore)
6. open PP and install the Add-in in Applications -> TexPoint:
TexPoint.ppa (you might need to remove your previously installed add-in
from the add-in list before doing that)

Let me know if this solves some or even all problems.
Another problem might be that tcsh is your default shell. Try to change
it to bash.
